New GoF Composer Rumors

New reports indicate that both Franz Ferdinand and Jarvis Cocker will be involved in the composition of the Goblet of Fire film soundtrack. This news comes following the confirmation that John Williams will not continue his role as composer and a report from JWFan.net suggesting that Patrick Doyle had been contracted to replace him.

Radcliffe: second richest teenage actor

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is now one of the richest teenagers in the world, despite his claims he has no need for the money.

In the list compiled by America's E! TV network, Radcliffe, following the success of the global blockbusting wizard movies, is second only to the American Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - and is already worth a massive $13.5 million (GBP7.5 million) at just 15-years-old.

Harry Potter Popular in Prisons

Suspected Australian terrorist David Hicks has been whiling away time in Guantanamo Bay reading about flying on broomsticks and casting spells.

A former translator from the US base has revealed Hicks has been an avid reader of Harry Potter books since being in custody. The JK Rowling bestsellers have been in high demand among Western prisoners.

Ex-US Air Force translator Ahmad Al Halabi, who was also a librarian at Guantanamo Bay prison, said Hicks was one of several inmates who were "always arguing about which volume of Harry Potter they could have".

Sothebys Announced Minibook Auction

Tiny drawings from a miniature book sketched by Edinburgh-based Harry Potter creator JK Rowling have been unveiled ahead of a charity auction.

The leather-bound volume is packed with pictures of everything the boy wizard needs for his life at Hogwarts School.

The tiny book is expected to raise up to AŁ6,000 at an auction at Sotheby's in London on November 1.
